Complete the contact page to get started. I'll reach back out within 48 hours with my availability & to discuss details. make sure to include anything you want me to know about such as your love story, your vision/inspo for the session, & a location if you have one in mind!
i'll send over a contract & invoice for a retainer to "seal the deal". Once that is complete, you'll be on my books!! We will further discuss any details & questions you might have. please feel free to bring 2 outfits if you choose!
if possible, i will ride with you to the location & get to know you guys a little bit before we start shooting. At the beginning of the session, we will do some motion prompts to get you used of being in front of the camera THEN WE WILL SLOWLY MOVE INTO SOME MORE INTIMATE/CLOSE-UP IMAGES. throughout the session we will do a variety of prompts/poses to make sure you have lots of images to choose from. IN LESS THAN 3 WEEKS, YOU'LL BE ABLE TO admire how cute you guys are together WHEN THE FINAL IMAGES ARE DELEIVERED.

We get to know each other before your big day. Most couples are not initially comfortable in front of the camera & that's okay! I'm not either and its literally my job! The engagement session is a great way for you to get to know how I typically work and I can see how your personalities are together. This helps me to gauge which poses & prompts to do that will capture you guys more authentically.
For most people, we don't get professional pictures taken with our loved ones often. Images from your engagement session are more casual & can be used over and over again to show off this happy time in your life & your guys' love for one another. Not only do they make great artwork for your home, you can also use them as part of your decor for your wedding day and decor as well. Of course, the traditional uses are great too; use them for save the dates, invitations, social media, and images for your wedding website if you have one.
As I know from planning my own wedding, wedding planning can be stressful & quite exhausting. Having an engagement session to look forward to, in my opinion, makes it a much more enjoyable. My goal for an engagement session is to facilitate an evening out that is fun & feels like a special date night. You'll re-connect over hugs, kisses, & much much laughter. Hopefully allowing you guys to fall in love all over again in front of my lens & give you awesome memories and images to cherish!
top two tips to remember when planning an engagement or couples session
- Make sure to eat beforehand. depending on the time of year, this may mean just a small snack on the way to the session or this might be dinner. we will schedule the session about an hour an a half before sunset. if you or your significant other is feeling particularly nervous or anxious about the session, invite them to have one or two drinks prior if that would help!!
- bring any props that will help tell the story of you guys. maybe that's a cowhide to sit on or your dogs/horses. anything you feel that will make your engagement session even that much more special to you guys!
